St Ives

The Old Riverport St Ives is a beautiful historic town 15 miles away from Cambridge on the river Great use that offers a wealth of recreational opportunities including electric riverboat trips. Other attractions available are a range of fascinating heritage along the waterfront, alleyways and market place, and a great range of independent shops throughout the town.

Its original character is retained with markets that are held every Monday and Friday as well as bank holidays markets and award winning Farmer’ Market held on the first and third Saturday of every month. The focal point of the town is the splendid 15th Century Bridge and chapel over the river, one of only three such surviving in England.

St Ives also has a very lively nightlife with various restaurants and cafes, illuminated boat parade, a stomping Jazz and Blues Festival and a unique Snowman Festival.

Testimonials

We just wanted to thank you for a very peaceful and beautiful stay from last Saturday to today. We had a truly restful week, enjoyed our takeaway food from The Barn and the Afternoon Tea. Walking around the site was lovely and our dog Smurf enjoyed it so much he developed a stubborn streak, refusing to walk as soon as he saw a person or dog. He’s definitely a sociable dog who loves interaction! The fishing was great too, even with the rain showers. This was our first visit, but won’t be our last, thank you again.

A great rural, peaceful site and perfect setting to explore Cambridgeshire. There is a lovely restaurant with excellent facilities on the site and we loved walking the dogs around the beautiful lake and tracks.  A very well kept site - we will visit again.
